Feminity, grace, elegance, creativity, freedom of expression and a unique vision of art translated into shapes, colors, lines and cuts, meant to flatter a real woman's body. The fashion concepts and collections I imagined over the past 10 years gather special chapters of a very intimate and personal story.
My artistic universe was nurtured early on, as I wanted to become a professional dancer, but some medical problems that occured unexpectedly, forced me to stop attending the classes. As the years passed, I never gave up the idea of dance and I transposed it in my designs - the ballerina silhouette became a symbol of all creations under Dana Tanase's distinctive signature.
I learned to sew in early childhood and I reached new levels as a fashion design student, creating cutting-edge styles for friends and family. In 2003 I opened my first design studio in Constanta and in parallel with custom-made pieces for clients, I started working with television, as member of the jury in a fashion shopping TV show, then as a presenter (more than 120 editions).
In 2008, I moved my design studio in Brasov city, changing the sea breeze with the fresh air of a mountain region. Even ballerinas need from time to time to start a new chapter and to change the scene. My clean cut designs, innovative shapes and emblematic motifs, conquered both the real women and the well known figures from showbiz - Nadia Comaneci, Andreea Marin, Alina Puscas and many others.
For me, fashion is wearable art, the amazing dance performed by a ballerina through the seasons with grace and feminity.
